Business Analyst

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst who will support overall business operations by becoming the subject matter and technical expert on various business systems that includes Netsuite, the company ERP system, and EDI, provider SPS Commerce.   Our analyst will use this knowledge to develop reporting and analytics and will serve as the liaison between internal functional departments and Netsuite, Netsuite consulting partner, SPS commerce, Lifefactory’s 3PL and Lifefactory’s customers.

Responsibilities 

  • Develops, prepares, and analyzes reports for management review
  • Defines business requirements and provides analysis toward operational efficiency
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in operational performance and notifies management of issues and problems requiring immediate attention
  • Works cross-functionally in analyzing, designing and developing business solutions
  • Works under general supervision, using established procedures
  • Performs in part as a Project Manager when implementing new customers on EDI.
  • Maintain data integrity within the system 

Requirements

  •  Broad knowledge of automated systems in a production or operations environment
  •  Ability to identify, analyze and resolve cross-functional problems related to business operations utilizing statistical analysis methodology
  •  Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to perform analyses such as process mapping, root-cause analysis, risk analysis and requirements gathering
  •  Experience in managing EDI data flow and ERP system structure – preferably in Netsuite
  •  Broad knowledge of programming language, PCs and related software applications
  •  Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  •  Excellent writing and presentation skills
  •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and use of analytical and ad hoc reporting tools
  •  Demonstrated project management skills

Vice President Operations

Lifefactory, headquarters in Sausalito, California, is a brand that makes life taste a little better every day! We’re the pioneer and leader in glass hydration and best known for our iconic glass water bottles, loved by customers everywhere. Our entrepreneurial company extends to more than 30 countries through retail and wholesale partners.

As we expand into new products, designs and markets, we are looking for a talented and seasoned Vice President of Operations to oversee and implement adequate processes and systems needed to profitably grow our brand. Qualified candidates must be comfortable with the fast pace of a growth environment and working alongside a group of energetic and smart peers. The position is located in Sausalito, CA and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The Vice President Operations will be a critical member of the management team and a key influencer within the company. The ideal candidate has a strong record of success within a light manufacturing and wholesale distribution environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day oversight, execution and coordination of U.S. and International components suppliers, U.S. third party final assembly (i.e. light manufacturing), manufacturing schedule, quality control, inbound and outbound logistics via 3PL, retailer routing guides/score cards, coordinating closely with demand planning/forecasting merchandising.
  • Will be the key member of the leadership team working closely with the COO, Head of Sales, Head of Finance and CEO.
  • Direct oversight of in-bound and out-bound logistics, including relationships with freight forwarders, 3PL partners and all delivery carriers.
  • Work closely with and give input into sales planning/forecasting team.
  • Develop policies and procedures to strengthen overall system, reduce lead-time, lower inventory cost, and increase EBITDA as we continue to scale.
  • Responsible for adherence to Lifefactory product quality standards.
  • Must demonstrate a practical “hands on” management style that includes timely decision-making and implementation.
  • Will require some negotiations and contracts work.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of supply chain.
  • Travel as required.

Skills

  • Impeccable organization and strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and solve problems independently.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience: 

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • At least four years of executive experience within a wholesale consumer products environment is mandatory
  • Worked in an operation where a physical product was made and distributed to retailers (not software, health care, etc.)
  • P&L ownership a strong plus
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master degree preferred

  • Compensation package with an equity potential will be based on the candidate’s experience.

Operations Manager

Our entrepreneurial company extends to more than 30 countries through retail and wholesale partners.

As we expand into new products, designs and markets, we are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Operations Manager who will be based in our logistic center in New Jersey. The position reports to the Vice President of Operations. Previous consumer products warehouse management experience and lite manufacturing is required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Based on site at 3PL location in Northern New Jersey
  • Oversee daily flow of all our orders and shipments and promote compliance with customer requirements (logistics, packaging, on-time delivery)
  • Oversee product assembly (i.e. lite manufacturing), special orders and customization.
  • Compilation of and adherence to routing instructions as well as creation and maintenance of universal routing guide.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Accounting, and other departments.
  • Frequent correspondence with suppliers, wholesale customers and carriers
  • Day-to-day liaison between the 3pL and San Francisco head office.
  • Travel as necessary.

Skills

  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience

  • 7 + years of operations experience, preferably in a mid-size specialty consumer products company
  • Experience working directly with major US and international Retail Chains
  • Experience in lite assembly and manufacturing
  • End to End Supply Chain/Logistics from overseas components suppliers to US Retailers
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Compensation:

  • Compensation package will be based on the candidate’s experience.
