Lifefactory has taken the silicone-wrapped glass it uses in its popular water bottle designs and applied it to wineglasses and food storage containers, both introduced this week. The colorful stemless wineglass “was on our original patent application,” said Daren Joy, a designer and founder of the company, which is in Sausalito, Calif. “They feel good in the hand, and are a great way to keep track of who has whose wineglass,” he added.

OhRanger.com - New Water Bottle Refill Station at the Golden Gate Bridge - April 2014

It’s another great step toward helping make our parks and public lands greener! Last month, water bottle maker Lifefactory donated a GLOBALTAP reusable bottle filling station and water fountain at the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion in San Francisco. The newly installed station will help limit the use of disposable plastic water bottles in this highly trafficked and environmentally sensitive area.

The new water fountain/bottle filling station unit is located on the southeast side of the bridge at the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion adjacent to the visitor center and gift shop. Thousands of pedestrians, cyclists and travelers visit the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion every day.

This follows the installation of water bottle refill stations at several national parks across the country, including the Grand Canyon and Zion.
