LIFEFACTORY, INC. CLOSES $5M GROWTH EQUITY FINANCING

Financing Led by Silas Capital to Accelerate Momentum of Fast-Growing Consumer Goods Brand

SAUSALITO, CA (AUGUST 26, 2015) – Lifefactory, Inc., one of the fastest growing housewares companies in the U.S., today announced that it has closed a Series C growth equity financing of $5 million.  The round was led by Silas Capital, with a $4 million investment, and participation from all major shareholders: Greenhouse Capital Partners, dCapital, FOFM and Big Sky Partners.

The latest round of financing comes as a result of the sustained expansion and performance of Lifefactory’s business, and will be used to further the brand’s continued impressive growth. The Company has increased revenue by over 750% in the last five years and has been profitable since 2012. The capital will be used to expand the team, accelerate product development and build the brand.

Lifefactory is a pioneer in reusable glass water bottles, baby bottles, and food storage solutions. Its products are made in the U.S. and E.U., and are available in over 3,000 premium retail locations and in over 20 countries. Retail partners include Amazon.com, Bed Bath & Beyond and Whole Foods Market. Lifefactory’s glass water bottles have been bestsellers in Whole Foods Market, as well as in the broader natural and specialty channel, for consecutive years.

Fast-Growing Housewares Company Bolsters Executive Team with Consumer Goods Sales and Supply Chain Veterans

Gina Del Vecchio has joined as Vice President of Operations and Jon Elordi has joined as Executive Vice President of Sales.

Gina Del Vecchio brings over 20 years of operations and supply chain experience to Lifefactory. In her most recent roles prior to joining Lifefactory, Gina served as Vice President of Supply Chain at Ariat International, and as Senior Director, International Logistics at Gymboree. Before Gymboree, Gina led supply chain strategy for companies in the housewares, toy, wine and apparel industries. Gina earned a B.A. from Reed College and an M.B.A. in Sustainable Business from Green Mountain College.

Jon Elordi brings 25 years of sales management experience to Lifefactory. Prior to joining Lifefactory, Jon was Vice President of Sales, National Accounts at Jarden Consumer Solutions. Before Jarden, Jon was Senior Vice President of Global Sales at iRobot Corporation. Prior to iRobot, Jon held senior sales roles at The Holmes Group, Helen of Troy and Hallmark Cards. Jon earned a B.S. from Mercer University and an M.B.A. from the Florida Institute of Technology. He is also a former officer of the U.S. Navy.

Innovative Consumer Goods Leader Asserts Patent for Silicone Sleeve Protection of Containers

SAUSALITO, CA (July 21, 2014) – Lifefactory, Inc. (http://www.lifefactory.com), the leading provider of mobile glass solutions for modern life, today announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Leapfrog Product Development LLC, the manufacturer of the Ello and Zulu water bottle lines, for offering for sale, selling, and distributing reusable glass bottles with protective silicone sleeves in violation of Lifefactory’s patent. The company’s lawsuit alleges infringement of Utility Patent No. 8,579,133, which covers Lifefactory’s innovative sleeves and wraps for protecting containers.

The lawsuit, filed in United States District Court, Northern District of California, represents Lifefactory’s dedication to protecting its brand while issuing a warning to others attempting to or planning to infringe on its innovations. The lawsuit is the largest and most significant to date brought by Lifefactory, and is part of the company’s ongoing proactive efforts to combat the unlawful production, distribution, and sale of products that infringe on its valuable intellectual property rights.

Innovative Consumer Goods Leader Receives Patent for Silicone Sleeve Protection of Glass Bottles

SAUSALITO, CA (December 11, 2013) – Lifefactory, Inc. (http://www.lifefactory.com), the leading provider of mobile glass solutions for modern life, today announced that it has received issuance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for utility patent number 8,579,133 on November 12, 2013.

The grant of this utility patent recognizes Lifefactory’s innovative sleeves and wraps for protecting containers.
